When they are broken the sharp edges can be unsafe or the liner inside can burst at any given time. This is a new 60" chrome plated stainless steel shower hose. Technically described as double locked metal jacket, it has a much longer life span than a typical plastic hose. It has two 1/2" female iron pipe connectors, one of which is conical for a smooth transitional connection to your existing shower head.
