Symmons Temptrol Faucet Seat Repair Kit Symmons Temptrol Faucet Seat Repair Kit This repair kit (equal to OEM #TA4) along with the Symmons stem we have will repair your faucet completely if it is dripping or not diverting water properly. If you are familiar with the workings of a Symmons faucet you can choose only the part you feel you need. Generally the stem needs to be replaced if the faucet does not divert the water properly from the shower to the tub. Sometimes that can be repaired by removing your existing stem and shaking it to see if it makes a rattling noise. If it does not, try soaking the entire stem in vinegar to loosen the inner sleeve and it should work again. If not you need a new stem. If you've done that and the faucet now diverts water properly but you cannot get it to stop leaking no matter how tight you turn it off, then you need this seat repair kit. Instructions are included.
